The Harwich Fire Association presented an AED ( Automatic External Defibrillator) to the Chamber of Commerce Thursday. This is a partnership between the community and the Harwich Fire Department to have as many life support systems strategically located around town at various businesses and places for early EMS intervention as a key to survival in a cardiac arrest. Last May one was placed at the Harwichport Golf Course. The AED cost is $1500. and this unit will be kept at the Information Center on Route 28 in Harwichport.
